Sartell-St. Stephen Dollars for Scholars is a nonprofit foundation that is part of Scholarship America's national network of locally based, volunteer-driven Dollars for Scholars chapters.  Our mission is two-fold:  1.) award a greater number of scholarship dollars to graduating seniors of ISD 748, and 2.) award scholarships to a wider cross-section of students in ISD 748. 

Every Gift Matters! 

One-time donations of any dollar amount - $1, $10, $100, or anything in between - made by individuals, businesses, and organizations will be collected and combined to create scholarships in the amount of $500 to be awarded to SHS seniors. 

 

Establishing a Named Scholarship

Named Scholarships are a wonderful way to create a lasting memorial to a family member.  Named scholarships also can be used to recognize a business or organization. 

 

●       Pass-Through Scholarships - This is a scholarship in which the donor pays the scholarship amount to our chapter in the year in which the scholarship will be awarded.  Minimum scholarship amount is $500.

 

●       Endowed Scholarships - This is a scholarship in which the earnings on money invested is used to pay the scholarship.  This type of scholarship is perpetual, and will go on forever.  To award a $500 scholarship, we require a $12,500 donation.  All endowed funds are professionally managed.  *Endowed Scholarships are automatically included in the list of 748 Club members.

 

The 748 Club

The 748 Club is a unique scholarship endowment designed to provide a lasting source of funds for scholarships awarded to SHS seniors.  Membership begins with a contribution of $748, allowing donors to make an immediate impact with a one-time gift.  Donors may also build their contribution over time to reach a higher level.  This is a great opportunity for individuals, families, businesses, or alumni classes to support scholarships in a way that fits their goals. Whether you choose to contribute a single amount or make donations over time, every gift helps create a lasting legacy for future graduates.  This endowment will use only earnings on the money invested to award scholarships to our graduates. 

 

        Levels of participation: 

                Club:        $748

                Blue:        $2,500

                White:      $5,000

                Sabre:     $12,500 *

                Legacy:   $25,000 *

  * Annual named scholarships can begin when a Sabre or Legacy contribution level is achieved.
